Following his articles with the Attorney General of Canada in 1987, John joined the firm as an associate. He became a partner in 1992. John advocated on a wide range of labour matters before arbitrators, tribunals, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Canada Labour Relations Board, and all levels of court in Alberta. He also had a particular interest in representing injured workers and argued numerous cases concerning the duty to accommodate.
In addition to serving as a panelist at labour-related forums, John is the former Chair of the Alberta Workers’ Health Centre, an organization dedicated to promoting information and awareness in occupational health and safety.
The firm honours John’s vision by continuing to uphold his legacy in his name.
