Joe practices labour, employment, and human rights law. He has represented clients before Superior and Appellate Courts, Labour Relations Boards, labour arbitration boards, and other administrative bodies.
Before joining Chivers Carpenter in 2026, Joe articled and practiced at a full-service firm in Calgary, then spent three years in Toronto practicing at a well-regarded labour and employment law boutique.
Joe completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Calgary. During law school, he volunteered as a tutor and at Student Legal Assistance, a pro-bono clinic providing services to students and other individuals in need of legal assistance.
Prior to law school, Joe obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies from the University of Alberta. Joe was called to the Alberta bar in 2021 and the Ontario bar in 2022.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys staying active outdoors, reading, and cooking. Between 2024 and 2026, Joe sat on the executive of the Ontario Bar Association Labour and Employment Law Section.
