We are not actively hiring. However, we are always interested in hearing from experienced lawyers or paralegals who have a strong interest in social justice and are interested in pursuing a career at Chivers Carpenter. Applicants with experience in labour law and human rights law will be strongly preferred.
We have litigation lawyers and research lawyers in our team at Chivers Carpenter. Our litigators represent and assist clients throughout every stage of a matter. For litigator positions, we consider experience conducting hearings and oral advocacy experience to be strong assets. We also look for candidates with strong research skills, clear writing, and strong analytical and strategic thinking. For research positions, we prioritize candidates with excellent research, writing, and analytical skills. Our research lawyers predominately assist other counsel by researching legal issues and writing legal memos, opinions, and submissions for Courts and Tribunals.
Chivers Carpenter will periodically hire summer and articling students. We look for students who are passionate about social justice and interested in a fast-paced and rewarding area of law.
