Vanessa retired in 2026 after 21 years with the firm. She joined Chivers Carpenter as a research and writing lawyer in 2005 and has written papers, opinions, briefs, and factums on a variety of issues related to labour, employment, human rights, and privacy law. Vanessa’s written advocacy has been submitted to arbitration boards, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Vanessa made significant contributions to our clients’ causes.
